Current Research in Industrial Organization and Business Strategy

This course will be team taught by faculty of the Business Economics and Public Policy department. Each faculty member will discuss 2-3 current working papers in the field of industrial organization written by professors at leading research universities.
Students are expected to read each paper thoroughly prior to class and be able to discuss the paper's key assumptions and how those assumptions influence the paper's key conclusions. The contribution of the paper to the field will be discussed.
Note: Authors will discuss papers presented at the BEPP workshop. In these cases, students will be expected to be active workshop participants.
Our international faculty members have held positions as government advisors, members of supranational organizations, and leaders of international corporations.
