On the CMA
My CMA peer coach helped me realize that I have a great story. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old, and that is important in my life and work. There is a mix of creativity and discipline you need in both dance and marketing. You need to stay in step with a lot of people, continually improve, and connect with your audience.
My Bio
Undergrad: Washington University, Marketing and International Business
Hometown: Redding, California
Kelley internship: Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, Ohio
Before applying to Kelley, I actually moved to Bloomington with my husband and worked at an Internet marketing agency. I was always working with clients and their brand managers and I realized that I wanted their jobs.
I felt that brand management at Kelley was the way to develop more in-depth business knowledge and expand my professional skills.
I knew that in the CMA I would have the opportunity to get hands-on-learning and lots of interaction with established companies. I anticipated it would give me a great foundation and the skills to be successful.
All of those expectations have been upheld in my experience here. I’ve gotten the coaching I needed to polish up my strengths and the feedback I needed to develop myself.
