This conference will describe some of the very exciting life sciences opportunities possible in combining drugs/devices, devices/biologics, biologics/drugs, or combinations of all three. You will hear directly from a world-renowned physician experienced in these combination therapies and the potential they provide as well as from academic researchers who are increasingly important in the development of these scientifically complex and challenging technologies. You will also hear, via case study from industry, some of the very significant regulatory, development, and marketing challenges and opportunities that these combination products provide.
Indiana is rich in assets throughout the life sciences industries from our research and academic institutions to our drug, device, and biologic companies throughout the state. As medicine and scientific understanding continues to expand at a tremendous rate, it is now possible to combine traditionally independent treatments into clinically advanced combination products. With Indiana's assets in various sectors, it is certainly an appropriate place to explore the possibilities of collaboration and partnership to bring technologies together for the good of patient care around the world.
