They’re not here for a grade. They’re here to see how much they can learn and to get as much out of the program as they can.” |

I find it particularly rewarding to witness firsthand the remarkable transformations students’ undertake in such a short period of time—I have learned as much from students as they have learned from the Core.” |
![]() | Matthew Semadeni Associate Professor of Strategy | "It is a wonderful opportunity to interact with students so hungry for knowledge and so eager to make a difference in the organizations where they will work and in the world at large." |

![]() | Matt Billett | “I am researching how customer passion for a company's products spills over into investor valuation. We find that companies with passionate customers associate with glamour stocks. Additionally, I am exploring how a firm's brand equity influences its capital structure decisions.” |
![]() | Sandeep Chandukala Assistant Professor of Marketing | “My main area of research is quantitative marketing. I am particularly interested in developing models of consumer and firm behavior related to advertising, promotions, and new product development.” |
![]() | Kelly Herd Assistant Professor of Marketing | “I’ve always been interested in creativity and design and what drives people to create. I get to focus on the underlying process of how things happen and why people think the way they do—it’s almost like a puzzle and I have to figure out what questions and experiments get at the underlying process.” |
![]() | Veronika Krepely Pool | “I focus on hedge funds and mutual funds to ask what drives the decision-making of financial professionals. Answers to this question not only have direct welfare implications for investors, but they also determine how efficiently resources are allocated in the economy." |
![]() | Scott E. Yonker | "I’m fascinated by how the characteristics and traits of managers influence their important economic decisions. My focus is on key market players—CEOs and investment managers. With a team, I investigate the importance of social interactions in the world of mutual fund investing." |
![]() | Robert Jennings | “I am currently aiding non-Big-Four accounting firms with their valuation unit. Most of that work relates to either explicit or implicit derivative securities. On the explicit side, I might be asked to help value a firm's convertible debt. On the implicit side, I might be asked to value a guarantee that the firm issues to either a customer or an employee. ” |
![]() | Gregory F. Udell | “I am currently an economic consultant to the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago and San Francisco. I have worked as a consultant in residence at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. where I was involved in several historical policy issues. I have also consulted extensively with multinational organizations including the IFC, OECD, and World Bank, and with numerous foreign central banks.” |
