Special Network Accounts
The Kelley School of Business (KSB) requires all special network account requests to be channeled through Technology Operations & Services. In the past, departments, program areas and support units, have been allowed to submit requests directly to UITS for central computer accounts. This resulted in a tremendous amount of confusion, and created some serious synchronization problems with KSB accounts. This policy change is an attempt to provide a standard request procedure to eliminate confusion. Account requests should be made via email to email@example.com.
REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR SPECIAL ACCOUNTS:
The Faculty/Staff in charge of the account(s) request process for their department should provide the following information in their request:
- The desired username of account (e.g. ksb101). Please note the username can only be three to eight characters in length.
- The desired display name for the account (e.g. Kelley School of Business 101).
- Username of person sponsoring account
- KSB department name
RESPONSE TIME AFTER REQUEST HAS BEEN MADE:
Account information used to be provided via email. This is no longer the case. All new account packets are being sent through campus mail, so individuals should plan to submit their account requests at least 7 business days in advance of the date the account is needed.
