Junior Executive Institute

  • Institute Session Dates

    For 2013, Junior Executive Institute sessions will be offered June 9-14 and June 16-21; selected students will attend only one of the two week-long sessions.

  • Application Deadlines

    Apply for JEI 2013. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2013.

    Applicants will be notified of an program admission decision by early May.

  • Application Criteria

    The institute is designed specifically for high school students from historically underrepresented groups, namely students who identify as African-American, Latino/Hispanic, or American Indian/Native American. To be considered for the program, you must also be a high school student finishing your sophomore or junior year and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. You will need to submit the online application, which includes a short essay. You will also need to mail an official high school transcript and one letter of recommendation from a high school counselor/teacher or an employer on official letterhead.

    Return the application form, transcripts, and letter of recommendation to: JEI Coordinator, Office of Diversity Initiatives, Kelley School of Business, Undergraduate Program, 1309 East Tenth Street, Bloomington, IN 47405-1701.

  • Funding and Travel

    The Junior Executive Institute is offered in conjunction with the IU Bloomington Office of Academic Support and Diversity.  Participants need only to cover transportation to and from Bloomington and personal expenses.
