The Senior Recognition was created in 2007 as a way to individually recognize each new Kelley graduate. A Dean will speak, awards will be presented and students will be invited to walk across the stage when their name is called. This year, we are offering two recognition events to accommodate increasing demand for the program. Students may select to attend the event that best fits into their schedule.
The recognition will last approximately 1.5 hours. A reception featuring light Hors d'oeuvres will follow at the Kelley School of Business Subhedar Forum, First Floor, Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center, across Fee Lane from Hodge Hall.
Business professional attire is requested – caps and gowns are not typically worn. A professional photographer will be on site to take photos of all new graduates. The photographer will be in touch via email about how to purchase photos in the week(s) following the event.
Following spring break, the Kelley School will mail formal invitations to the preferred mailing address of all students who have formally applied for graduation by March 1st and are eligible to graduate in May, June, or August. Tickets are required.
Please click here to view the Kelley Undergraduate Senior Recognition. The events available for viewing begin at 12:15 pm and 3:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2013.
Tickets may be picked up at the IU Auditorium box office beginning on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:00 am. Students may pick up their tickets at any time until May 2, 2013 at 5:00 pm. When picking up their tickets, students may then choose which event they would like to attend (12:15 pm or 3:00 pm). If one recognition event fills to capacity, students will be directed to attend the alternate event. Students should only pick up as many tickets as they require for their party.
Each graduate wil be allowed to pick up a total of five tickets: one for themselves, plus four guests. Students will need their IUB student ID to pick up their tickets. The Kelley School of Business will not issue any extra tickets to students or family members.
Additional guests are encouraged to come to the standby line outside the Auditorium on the day of the event. If any seats remain after all ticketed guests are seated, they will be offered to those in the standby line.
Students who are studying abroad or doing an internship during the spring semester should email ksbrsvp@indiana.edu for details on how to obtain their tickets. Students who have final exam conflicts with one of the events should plan to get tickets early to guarantee seating at the alternate recognition event.
Lost tickets cannot be reissued. However, if you lose your tickets (or did not pick up your tickets prior to the day of the event) you will be eligible to wait in the standby line.
Entrance and standby lines will be recognized outside of the Auditorium one hour prior to each event. Doors will open at 11:30 am for the 12:15 pm event & 2:15 pm for the 3:00 pm event. All students and guests are invited to attend the reception immediately following the event at the Kelley School of Business Subhedar Forum.
Parking is available in any of IU’s pay facilities. The Jordan Garage, located off Jordan Avenue, is the closest to the IU Auditorium. The Fee Lane Garage is attached to the Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center. Please visit the Parking Operations website for garage fees and details.
If you need accessibility seating, or other special accommodations, please notify the Auditorium box office staff when you pick up your tickets.
