Jeff Fettig Jeff Fettig (BS '79, MBA '81)

Jeff Fettig was named president and chief operating officer of Whirlpool Corporation in June 1999. He also was appointed to the company’s board of directors. Headquartered in Benton Harbor, MI, the company is the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances.

He began his career at Whirlpool as an operations associate in 1981 after receiving his MBA from Indiana University. Fettig held a number of managerial positions in operations, sales, planning, and product development before being promoted to vice president of marketing for the KitchenAid Appliance Group in 1989. In 1990 he was named vice president of marketing for the Philips Whirlpool Appliance Group of Whirlpool Europe B.V., the company’s European subsidiary. In 1992 he became vice president of group marketing and sales of the North American Appliance Group. Fettig was named an executive vice president of Whirlpool and president of Whirlpool Europe and Asia in 1994.

A native of Tipton, IN, Fettig also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from IU. He is a member of the Kelley School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council.
