KSB Chicago Career Networks is hosting a panel discussion focused on advancing your career in 2014.
Brief keynote followed by an expert panel discussion with question-and-answer session. There will be time for networking following the discussion.
Keynote and Panel Facilitator:
Kathy Kniola (BA’78/MSBA’83) – Chief Learning Executive, Northwestern Memorial Healthcare
Kathy is a human resources executive with extensive C-level and talent management experience in high-growth public and privately-held organizations. Significant leadership experience in succession planning, executive staffing, leadership development, performance management, total rewards, HR operations and building an HR function from the ground up.
David M. Schuppan (BS’97) – Partner, Cressey & Company LP
David is a Partner responsible for acquisitions, divestitures and oversight of portfolio companies. David has been working with the Cressey & Company team since 1999 when he joined Thoma Cressey Equity Partners (and later Thoma Cressey Bravo) as an Associate. He rejoined the firm in 2004 after receiving his MBA. David also has worked with the healthcare investment banking group of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. David earned an MBA, with honors, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS, summa cum laude, from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Jill Rahman (MBA'91) – Vice President, ConAgra Foods
Jill Rahman is currently the Vice President/General Manager of the Sweet & Salty Portfolio within the Snacks Pillar. She has been with ConAgra Foods for 4 years and prior to this role she was the Vice President of Strategy for Consumer Foods. Jill’s career focus has centered within the world of CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods). After receiving her BBA in Marketing from Howard University, Jill started her career working for the Kroger Company. After returning to school to complete her MBA at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, she worked for Kraft Foods in Brand Management for 15 years.
Larry J. Kallembach (BS'78) – Executive Vice President & CIO, MB Financial Bank
Larry Kallembach is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of MB Financial Bank. MB Financial a Chicago based bank with assets of $9.5 billion. Spanning over thirty years Larry’s banking career includes expertise in operations, payment systems, information management and technology, risk management, and mergers including FDIC acquisitions. As CIO at MB Financial his corporate-wide responsibilities include the direction and management of all information technology systems, bank operations, payments and payment systems and the bank’s enterprise risk management systems. His effective leadership is a product of his strategic thinking and interpersonal communication skills. Larry is a former National Board Member of the American Institute of Banking (AIB), and former Chairman of the Illinois Bankers Operations and Technology committee. Larry currently serves as the Chairman of the FiServe-Signature User Strategic Direction Committee and is a member of the Illinois Bankers Association Board of Directors. He has taught Finance and Economics at Parkland College and he is a periodic speaker and lecturer for various organizations including the University of Illinois. Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois.
Katherine Abbott (BS'73) – Vice President and Treasurer, Orbitz Worldwide, Inc.
As Vice President and Treasurer of Orbitz Worldwide, Inc., a leading global online travel company, Kathy has responsibility for the global treasury and risk management functions. Prior to joining Orbitz in 2007, Kathy served as Vice President and Treasurer for Bally Total Fitness and Budget Group, Inc. Additionally, Kathy has spent part of her career in banking at J.P. Morgan and Credit Agricole Indosuez. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
