When 3M recruited on campus, Ryan (BS ’10) had not been offered an interview spot despite being "preferenced". Holding out hope, he attended the pre-night presentation by 3M where he approached alumna, Susanne (BS ’02), resume in hand. She scanned Ryan’s vita and offered to try to fit him into the schedule. Susanne did contact Ryan and interviewed him at the very tail end of her eight hour day. A few weeks later, Ryan took an internship offer at 3M and is now employed full-time as an internal auditor. Ryan said, "Without the help of an alumna who was willing to fit in one more candidate, I would not be in the position I am today."
