Nicole (BS '13) - 03/26/2012

Nicole (BS '13), wanted to set up a networking trip to Los Angeles for some of her Kelley peers interested in PR. She made contact with J.R. (BS ’09) who works for an entertainment PR firm in LA. He helped arrange a visit for the students to his company, including a lunch and guest speakers for the afternoon. Impressed with Nicole's proactive organization of the trip, J.R. became interested in Nicole’s career goals, which included, not coincidentally, an internship in LA with an entertainment PR firm or advertising agency. He sent her resume to his HR director as well as a few of his contacts in the industry. Nicole interviewed with J.R.'s company. Not only did Nicole gain great interview experience in a very competitive industry, but J.R.’s company offered her the internship!
