Brian (BS '04/MBA' 08) was involved as a student - participating in student government, speaking at the Induction Ceremony and seeking out opportunities to interact with alumni. He earned his Kelley MBA to move into finance, with a career goal of being a CFO. As an associate at JP Morgan in 2011, he decided to network toward that and leveraged his relationship with Alumni Programs office staff to get introductions to Kelley CFOs. Within two weeks, he was able to meet in person with Kevin (BS '88/MBA '95), a former alumni board president and CFO of Johnson Ventures, and Cindy (BS '82/MBA '86), CFO of Hillenbrand Industries. Brian gained some very expert advice on the CFO career path and made positive impressions with some well-connected alumni who will help him when he is ready to make a move!
