"Living a Dream..."
Charlie (MBA '67) - 04/17/2012
Charlie (MBA '67) is the founder of Tumi Luggage, Inc. and has inspired Kelley students to act on their dreams. As a Dean's Council member, he's returned to the Kelley School several times to give "fireside chats" to marketing students, written letters of admission consideration for incoming students and of late has been very involved with Aid to Artisans (ATA), a global social entrepreneurship venture as well as GreenSmart.biz, a new company which is also socially engaged. Given Charlie's interests to help students and use the Kelley Network, he was able to facilitate three internships to students in the MBA program in 2010 over the summer and last year, Ben (MBA candidate 2012) had a good experience with GreenSmart.biz in Web marketing and product development as an intern. Charlie is a great example of how an alum can be engaged, build the Kelley Network and give back to current students and young alumni including through his MBA Fellowship which will be endowed for future generations to build upon.
