Major Gifts
Endowments for the business leaders of tomorrow...
The primary role of the Office of Major Gifts is to build and nurture lasting partnerships, merging the philanthropic wishes of the donor(s) with the funding needs of the School.
Throughout the major gift process, we help individuals understand what constitutes a major gift, the many ways a major commitment can be made, and what initiatives may be supported. Unlike annual gifts, most major gifts create endowments - perhaps to subsidize a scholarship, fellowship, chair, program, or center. These endowments exist in perpetuity, thereby preserving the School’s ability to ably educate the business leaders of tomorrow.
Major gift donors should expect to receive current information on the School, regular updates on our programs and their endowment, and invitations to interact with students and faculty.
Great care is made in matching donor interest with the many gift opportunities that exist at the Kelley School. Once a donor has identified an initiative they would like to fund, we provide a detailed proposal that outlines the School’s need, the impact of their gift, and the stewardship process which allows us to keep the lifelong partnership intact.
Major gifts create, supplement and, in many cases, perpetuate the extensive learning opportunities of students enrolled in the Kelley School of Business.
