"Will That Be All, Ma'am?"
Molly (BS '12) - 12/23/2011
Molly had a second-round interview with PwC in their management consulting practice on a Friday in November. She really wanted this position with PwC but had an offer deadline from another large consulting firm that was on the following Wednesday. PwC recruiters told her they would not be able to make a decision before her upcoming deadline. Two days before she had to make a decision with the other firm, PwC hosted a dinner on campus where she saw fellow AKPsi member and Kelley alum Lauren (BS '09), who works for PwC in the Indianapolis office. Molly shared her concerns with Lauren about not getting the PwC offer soon enough. Lauren talked to the Chicago PwC recruiters and, because of her help, Molly received her offer from PwC the same day as the other company's deadline, which was sooner than any of Molly's peers who interviewed. Molly accepted the offer. Not only that, Lauren got Molly's offer moved from Chicago to the NY office, where she preferred to work. Molly says she is not at all sure what position she would be in now had it not been for Lauren.
