The Finance Committee has three primary responsibilities:
(1) to raise the funds necessary to implement club projects;
(2) to evaluate the financial feasibility of, and to budget properly, club projects; and
(3) to provide our committee members with leadership development.
Currently, the main sources of funding include on-campus organizations, local businesses, and corporate sponsorships. However, we continuously seek new and innovative ways to raise money. We also work very closely with the Strategy Committee to ensure that all of our projects can be implemented with existing funds. Finally, as with all EMC committees, we offer our members opportunities to lead various initiatives, develop their communication and management skills, contribute their ideas and opinions, and participate in running an organization.
