  • 7-weeks
  • 1.5 credits
  • Prerequisite: MBA Core

Logistics and distribution are core components of supply chain management. According to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Logistics management is that part of supply chain management that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective forward and reverse flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customers’ requirements.

Logistics decisions are typically classified into: 1) strategic: dealing with decisions that have a long-lasting effect on the firm; 2) tactical: including decisions that are updated anywhere between once every quarter and once every year; 3) operational: referring to day-to-day decisions. For this MBA level course the focus will be on strategic and tactical decisions in logistics management.
